See how many device licenses are over or unused
This release adds license counts to the device usage bars in Plan & Billing, so you can see how far over or under each purchased line you are. Device Agents also gets a clearer error state on the Overview and a Needs action list that leaves out agents that stopped reporting long ago.
What's new
Over and unused counts in Plan & Billing
Device agent usage in Plan & Billing now says how many licenses are over or unused on each line.
- Each bar shows a count such as "3 over" or "12 unused" next to the percentage.
- When additional devices share the first-device allowance, the unused count on the first bar takes them into account.
A Retry button on the Device Agents Overview
The Device Agents Overview now tells you when its data did not load.
- If the agent, employee, or organization lists fail to load, an error message with a Retry button replaces the charts.
- You no longer see empty or zero-value charts that look like real data.
A shorter Needs action list
The Needs action list on Device Agents now focuses on agents that are still reporting.
- Agents with an error status appear only if they reported in the last 30 days.
- Old extension-only rows from shared or re-imaged laptops no longer pile up in the list.
Who benefits
- Finance and billing owners: a direct read on how many device licenses are over or unused on each line.
- IT leaders managing Device Agents: an error message with a way to retry, instead of charts that look empty.
- Admins working the Needs action list: fewer stale rows to sort through before reaching the agents that need attention.
Try it
- Open Plan & Billing and check the device usage bars for over and unused counts.
- Open Device Agents and use Retry if the Overview shows an error.
- Review the Needs action list for agents that reported in the last 30 days.
