Abloomify release notes cover for September 25 2026: Session Cutoff

Activity Log sessions end when a device goes quiet

This release fixes how the Activity Log measures how long a work session lasted. A session could previously keep running until the next time a device sent an update, so time when a computer was shut down, asleep, or unreachable sometimes got counted as part of the session. Session lengths now end at the last real signal from the device.

What's new

Sessions end when a device goes offline or to sleep

Activity Log sessions now end at the point a device stops responding, instead of continuing until it sends another update.
  • A session no longer keeps counting time after a device is shut down or stops responding; it ends at the last activity received.
  • Waking a device from sleep starts a new session, so time spent asleep is not added to the session before it.
  • In one case, a session that had shown eight hours of continuous activity now correctly shows under three minutes.

Who benefits

  • Managers and team leads reviewing the Activity Log: session lengths reflect real activity, not time after a device stopped responding.
  • Admins investigating unusual activity reports: fewer sessions inflated by a shutdown, sleep, or a dropped connection.

Try it

  • Open Activity Log and check a session that spans a shutdown or sleep period for the corrected duration.
  • No setup needed: the fix applies automatically to activity going forward.
