Safer group management, more reliable OKR editing, tighter access

This release focuses on giving admins more confidence when removing engineering groups, making OKR progress updates behave more predictably, and ensuring Usage Insights access follows consistent rules.

What's new

Delete engineering groups with full impact visibility

Removing an engineering group now surfaces exactly what work is tied to it before anything changes.
  • See every OKR referencing the group before confirming deletion
  • Choose to reassign active OKRs to another group so ongoing work stays connected
  • Historical items retain a label showing the original group name for context and continuity

OKR progress updates are more reliable

Editing progress from the update dialog now correctly targets the right record when objectives and key results appear together in the same view.
  • Status and progress changes apply to the intended item rather than a sibling record
  • Mixed-view OKR lists behave consistently regardless of how items are ordered or grouped

Usage Insights access follows tighter, more consistent rules

Access to Usage Insights is now evaluated with more precise permission checks.
  • The right people see the right scope: individual views for those with self-access, full views for those with broader permissions
  • Access is checked at the route level and within the view, so there are no gaps between what the app allows and what users can actually see

Who benefits

  • Admins and operations leads: delete groups confidently knowing OKR impact is reviewed first and nothing is silently lost
  • Managers and leaders editing OKRs: expect progress updates to stick where they are supposed to, even in dense list views
  • Admins managing access: rely on Usage Insights showing each person exactly the scope they are authorized to see

Try it

  • Open Engineering Groups and initiate a group deletion to see the impact review and reassignment flow
  • Edit OKR progress from the update dialog in a view that mixes objectives and key results
  • Check Usage Insights and confirm the view scope matches the access level configured for your account
